What we do

Wiseblood creates impactful strategy, brand and storytelling in sectors including health, education, arts and culture, environment, philanthropy, and industry.

Strategy

We develop evidence-based planning and strategy to set direction, manage issues, engage audiences, and seize opportunities.

Brand

We build brands that give clients a sense of self and the capacity to communicate impactfully.

Story

We are documentarians who tell stories rooted in personal experience where expertise and empathy create strong connections between brands, communities and individuals.

How we work

Research

Every project begins with research and stakeholder engagement where actionable insights help us diagnose before we prescribe.

Collaborate

Although we pride ourselves in our ability to create impactful messaging, the source of our success is in our practice of listening to our clients, as well as their stakeholders and customers.

Create

Challenging assignments in challenging environments often provide the greatest opportunities for impact. We delight and specialize in institutional clients in multi-stakeholder settings, B2B businesses with unique audiences, and small nonprofits and philanthropic groups tackling big issues .

Our Impact

We are moved by the efforts our clients take to make positive contributions to  society. Since our founding, we have sought to find ways to give back.

Moral Courage

James W. Foley, was a U.S. journalist who was taken hostage and killed by his captors while reporting on the Syrian conflict in 2014. James (Jim) believed that people’s stories had the power to overturn tyranny, dismantle oppression, and create a better life for people regardless of their nationalities, race, or backgrounds. He lived this belief by traveling to foreign lands, equipped with little more than a camera and the moral courage to report on conflict’s human toll.

In his final message home, Jim asked that we stay strong and “help reclaim his life.”  A good friend of Wiseblood principal, Daniel Presnell, Jim’s life’s work and moral courage remains an inspiration to us all.

We are extremely grateful and humbled by our ability to provide pro bono strategy, communication and fundraising support for the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation.

Giving Back

Each year we donate a portion of our profits to causes that matter to us–and one that is most dear is ensuring kids have what they need to grow.

  • We donate to Backpack Buddies, that provides a weekly bag of food, including meals and snacks, to feed the children of nearly 4,000 families in British Columbia.
  • We are also proud sponsors of Vancouver’s Trout Lake Little League, where our donations ensure that all kids have the opportunity to play baseball, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
Paying It Forward

We believe we have a moral responsibility to respond to climate change by ensuring we do everything in our power to operate sustainably.

We are members of the Carbon Neutral Club, where each year we offset 17.97 tonnes of carbon, and fund renewable energy projects around the world.
